Fabric requirements for panel border needs to be 5/8 yds.

Fabric Cutting
• Read general instructions, fabric cutting section. WOF means the width of the fabric.
• From panel cut one rectangle 23 ½” by 45 ½”. This panel was re-printed and is not the same size as the original. You need to measure the size of the panel. If the panel measures 23 ½” by 44 ½”, then trim the panel to 23 ½” by 43 ½”.
• From panel border fabric:
• Cut 3 strips 4” by the WOF.
• Cut 2 strips 2” by the WOF. If the panel after trimming measures 23 ½” by 43 ½”, then cut 2 strips 3” by the WOF.
• From flower background fabric cut 4 strips 6 ½” by the WOF. Cut 20 squares 6 ½”.
• From pieced border fabric cut 2 strips 6 ½”. Cut 2 rectangles 6 ½” by 24 ½”. Cut 2 squares 6 ½”.
• From inner border fabric cut 6 strips 2 ½” by the WOF.
• From outer border fabric cut 6 strips 4 ½” by the WOF.
• From binding fabric cut 7 strips 1 ½” by the WOF.


Background Construction
• Sew the three 4” panel borders together on the short ends.
• Cut 2 side borders 4” by 45 ½”.
• Sew to the sides of the panel rectangle.
• Press the seams towards the borders.
• Cut two panel borders 2” by 30 ½”. If the panel measures 23 ½” by 43 ½”, the cut two panel borders 3” by 30 ½”.
• Sew the above panel borders to the top and bottom of the above unit.
• Press the seams towards the borders.
• This unit should measure 30 ½” by 48 ½”.
