Description
Choose a pre-printed novelty or wildlife stripe for this technique and watch the magic happen! You will get a variety of blocks and they all work together because you used one piece of fabric. This quilt pattern includes directions to cut and assemble the small hexagon blocks, as well as directions to complete the cover quilt. Check out the medium and large template pages for cutting sizes to make the medium and large blocks.
Why paper-piece these blocks? One of the trickiest parts of any kaleidoscope block is sewing the bias-edged pieces together accurately. Terry's first test block for this quilt pattern took her almost an hour of fussing and her points still didn't line up. Terry's first foundation test block took no more than 10 minutes and all the points were perfect. If you are "kaleidoscopically" challenged like Terry, you"ll want to give this a try.
Finished Size: 40" x 40"
