Spool Toss Pattern HHQ-7347

In my version of the traditional spool block quilt there's no need to match any points. The rectangular blocks are sewn together and the spool caps are appliqued into place with a narrow zig-zag or blanket stitch before the top is assembled. The spools are in two different shapes (skinny & chubby) and appear to float on the background. Planned or scrappy this pattern contains both options, including tips on choosing scraps without losing the design.
